Seaside Dance Academy
Seaside Dance Academy opened its doors in September of 2001 and has provided dance education to Worcester County for the past 22 years.
Seaside Dance Academy is located in the heart of the historical town of Berlin Md surrounded with quaint restaurants and shops. Seaside is only about ten miles from the beaches of Ocean City and Assateague Island. The Academy holds four spacious dance rooms, with 10.000 square feet of space for dancing & creating. Desk staff during operation hours, professional dance staff , four bathrooms, dressing room, hardwood and marly dance floors. All rooms are fully lined in mirrors, dim lighting, disco lights, ballet barres and stereo systems.

Lisa Tingle, Founder of Seaside Dance Academy, is an award winning dancer, instructor and choreographer. Lisa's professional training began at an early age at the Wilkes Barre Ballet Theater. Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in dance from Point Park University, training under Pittsburgh Ballet Artistic Directors Roberto Munzo, Doug Bentz and Judith Leifer. Lisa has performed and worked with many other acclaimed professionals, including David Howard, Francisca Corkle and members of the Joffrey Ballet and performance troupe of New York City Ballet Cynthia Gregory. In 1995, Lisa was chosen for the NFL's Washington Redskins Cheerleaders dance team. Receiving awards for "Rookie of the Year" and "Best Technique" Lisa was also chosen as a "Soloist" for the Redskinette traveling group and traveled the country performing for the Men and Women of the Armed Forces.
Lisa opened her own Studio in 2001 and since that time has passed her passion for dance onto her students. A wide variety of talents have bloomed from Seaside Dance Academy including Dancer's, Singer's, Teacher's, Business Men and Women, from Local to National, and even Global. Lisa continues to be proud of her many Alumni and current students at Seaside Dance Academy as they will forever remain in the "Seaside Family". |
